Mudd - Drago 12inch Vinyl (brennan Green Mix) Oki Ni Review this store csb0006one Music and Audio Claremont 56 Ahmed Fakroun, a singer-songwriter from Libya is widely considered to be one of the foremost pioneers of modern Arabian world music. You might recognise his work from his 1977 hit, "Nisyan" as it was recently used on one of the Les Edits Du Golem 12"s. Meanwhile, back to this 12"; Ahmed, a fan of Claremont 56, teams up with Mudd to create a Bohannon style slo-mo Balearic-rock groove that will give you neck ache from head nodding (I'm actually nodding my head while typing this!). On the flip Brennan Green takes on remix duties and adds another classic rework for Claremont's collection. More reminiscent of some of Byrne and Eno's post-punk collaborations, his rework is intense and quite compelling. Beautiful cellos from Robin 'Faze Action' Lee slide in and out of the mix and a warm Rhodes vamp keeps pushing the track towards the next part in the journey. This really is something special. £6.99 + Add to my saved list
